HOMEMADE LOVE
(Karabel 11/07/03)

CHORUS:

Anybody who is hungry,
All the great and all the small,
There is plenty for everybody
Dish up some homemade love for all!

1.
Well now the Lord he set a fine table
And gave all of his children a seat
He said “Whether or not you are able,
There will be plenty to eat!
We’ve got thick juicy steak, cooked anyway you like it
And, smoky, Virginia ham,
Southern fried chicken makes your fingers worth lickin’
That’s why I am the Great I am!

CHORUS

2.
“There’s biscuits and gravy, vine-ripened tomatoes
And three billion hot apple pies,
More salad greens than you have ever seen
And chocolate of every shape and size.
There’s vats of spaghetti, the corned beef is ready
There’s hot dogs and burgers for all.
There’s stir fries and rice and potatoes baked twice
And no sign of cholesterol!”

CHORUS

3.
Then he raised his arms and that great room got quiet.
He folded his hands to pray.
He said, “I have prepared a feast for the greatest and the least,
But first I have something to say.
If, when you wander, you meet some children,
And they are hungry, too.
And they can’t find a seat at this great, big table
Your homemade love will do!”

CHORUS:

Anybody who is hungry,
All the great and all the small,
There is plenty for everybody
Dish up some homemade love for all!
Dish up that homemade love for all!
Dish up your home ---- made love ---- for all!
